The Gold Coast Guest Bedroom
is the epitome of Hohm Collective's approach to design, combining serene and neutral colors with luxe textures and the use of unusual and iconic pieces. An ebonized poster bed, the focal point of the room, is layered with a combination of new and vintage textile pillows and a hand-made chunky knit throw. Walls feature newly framed 19th Century botanicals and a captain's mirror.
The work area features a Nanna Ditzel writing desk paired with the stunning 'Swag Leg Armchair' designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller. The gallery wall provides inspiration, combining inherited pieces with newly found treasures placed in vintage frames. An antique Belgian pharmacy cabinet serves for additional storage, holding books and keepsakes.
The en-suite bathroom features beautifully moody William Morris wallpaper, set above classic white subway tile and marble hex floors. A dark soapstone countertop holds a salvaged drop-in sink, while a found watchmaker's cabinet provides some added storage. A reclaimed mirror reflects the cast iron tub with a black painted exterior, which sits beneath casement windows.
